hi, i'm neve (4). hi, i'm fiona (6). we are now sharing this virtual real estate as sam-sisters, because we are forced to share everything else in life already. mommy says "get used to it."
when we're not drawing, putting naked dolls in unintentionally awkward poses, or putting on shows for uninterested adults, we are giving mommy and daddy kisses, eating macaroni and cheese, dressing the dog up in tutus and ribbons, and learning how to ride a bike and roller skate. things are alright.

about the author's mother
one dreadfully cold day (by atlanta's standards at least) while suffering from a serious case of cabin fever, this blog was created to guide the thoughts and creations of my darling, imaginative, and (exhale) very curious daughter.* in lieu of answering a million questions that would stump even the most accomplished existential philosophers, sam was born. hopefully this will give her creations a home and her a purpose. hopefully.
oh, and as for the meaning behind the title? when asked what she wanted to name it, she answered without a second thought, "sam". i asked her why sam, and she replied, "i like that name, and if you're not going to have another baby [and name it sam], i'll just name my blog sam." of course.

ReplyDeletei know! and i just found out that the little girl, georgia, is the same georgia from yo la tengo! her parents did these little animations of her and her sister playing... love them.
